Good morning, kind humans. I hope that you are having a good day. Did you enjoy the information I shared with you about why we felines like to scratch around our noms or around our litter box? I hope you did. I did this again this morning, and the human was amused. He told me that I could not bury it no matter how hard I tried, and besides, Jacey was going to nom on it, too.
That earned him an angry glare and a swat, but it was with the claws in so I did not inflict much damage on him. Silly human!
It is time for me to share with you my blood sugar readings for the week. Remember, the human has dropped my dosing because he does not want to see me go from near hypoglycemia to very high blood sugar levels.
For the week, my blood sugar readings were a little lower than last week. They averaged 178, which is down from the 194 that we saw last week. This made me happy!
You see, while it is important to control my blood sugar, it is better if the readings stay in a more constant and steady range instead of fluctuating wildly. While the average is what we look at, it is not good to have a day where it goes from 40 to 500.
It is too early to draw any solid conclusions because it has not been very long since we dropped the dosing levels. But initial results are positive and I am hopeful that it will help me get my blood sugar levels to stay in a more consistent range.
I will let you know about my blood sugar readings next week, and I hope to have more good news for you. Let’s hope that the lower dosing keeps the fluctuations smaller!
