March 17 Blood Sugar Readings

Hello, furiends. It is time for me to tell you about my blood sugar readings for the week. The human told me that many humans celebrated St. Patrick’s day yesterday. He said that a lot of humans drank things that made them clumsier and louder than normal. I do not know why you humans do this, but if you enjoy it, that is fine.

I would like to remind you that St. Patrick is not the only saint whose day is March 17. There is also St. Gertrude, who is the patron saint of cats.

Now on to my blood sugar readings. For the week, they averaged 120. That is lower than the 147 we saw last week. The human and I are a little concerned because we had many days where they were lower than we’ve seen in the past. And we also had some days where they were too low for me to get my insulin.

Even on the days where my blood sugar was at levels that could cause problems, I nommed quickly and it went up. But the human is concerned. He is not sure if maybe it is time for us to go with lower insulin doses.

I would not mind that. And neither would the human, because my insulin requires many green paper things! Less insulin means each vial lasts longer and the human saves those green paper things.
