A Happy Story from Tenth Life

Oilo's Cat Rescue Story Was Possible Because of a Foster

Tenth Life does so much good for felines in the St. Louis area. They take on cases that other cat rescue groups cannot handle, such as my good furiend Lincoln‘s case. This formerly paralyzed feline is now a happy and playful and fully mobile cat enjoying a very happy life.

Recently, a human who had to surrender her cat visited the cat rescue, asking about a feline who she knew made his way to Tenth Life. Boots, this human said, had been transferred to Tenth Life, and they wanted to know what happened to Boots.

The name was unfamiliar to the person who was answering the question, so they asked for more information. When the picture was shown, the human at Tenth Life realized that it was the cat they had fostered. He had been renamed Olio and that is why they did not recognize the name.

Olio, you see, had been surrendered and the facility did not have the resources to give him the surgery he needed to correct his medical condition. He had a hernia, which was causing him to have problems breathing. Tenth Life is a cat rescue that specializes in cases like this, and because of them, he got the surgery he needed.

Olio’s sugery was successful, and he went to a foster home to recover. He was a very loving and sweet cat when he was in the foster home, and he recovered even more quickly than the humans in white coats thought he could. Soon, he was able to find a good home to call his own.

No cat rescue can do its good work without many foster homes, and Tenth Life is no different. Olio’s story, which made the visitor very happy, was only possible because they had a foster that could take Olio in during his recovery period.

You may not be able to be a foster for Tenth Life, because they are not close to where you live. But you can become a foster for a cat rescue group near you. It is something you should think about doing if you can because you will save many felines!

Meet Lincoln’s Sisfur Lilo

My Fellow Special Needs Cat Lilo

It has been a while since I shared any stories from my fellow special needs cat and good furiend Lincoln. If you are not familiar with this amazing cat, he was found completely paralyzed and unable to move. His human and Tenth Life worked very hard to help him, and now he is a fully mobile and playful feline!

Jacey, Marley, and I had the opportunity to meet Lincoln’s human when she was visiting. We were not happy that the human did not give us enough time to prepare for the visit. We would have worked on our fur tans and groomed each other to look our best!

Lincoln and his human have been working hard with a special needs cat named Lilo. She lived a tough life before she came to Tenth Life and Lincoln’s human. She lost three of her siblings to a sudden viral infection suspected to be distemper. And Lilo spent a lot of time with the humans in white coats herself to overcome this disease.

This is in addition to her being born with bent front paws that look like chicken wings. Her condition makes it difficult for her to move around as well as she would like, but she has managed to overcome some of the challenges it presents. She managed to hop onto the couch yesterday, and Lincoln and his human were very happy.

My fellow special needs cat has some even better news to share. Once she is fully cleared, she will go to a good home! You see, a friend of Lincoln and his human visited their home and saw Lilo. They fell in love with her, and they want to give her a good home.

Lilo’s life has improved in so many ways in such a short time. I am very glad she will be able to go to a good home and that she beat the virus that almost took her life.

Evil Humans Break into Tenth Life

The Damage to Tenth Life's Cat Rescue Facility

I have shared many stories about how Tenth Life does wonderful work for my fellow felines. While Lincoln is their most famous alumni, and I had the chance to meet his human, there are many other felines who have been given a chance to thrive thanks to Tenth Life. They are a wonderful cat rescue organization that takes on cases that others will not.

And that is why I was so sad to hear that Tenth Life had been broken into. This is the second time that they evil humans broke into this cat  rescue facility.

After the first break in, Tenth Life took security measures to make it more difficult to steal things from them. They even bolted a safe to the floor to make it difficult for disgusting humans to steal.

That did not stop the thieves. This time, they broke the glass door to enter Tenth Life. Then they stole many computers, a television, and the safe that was bolted to the floor.

The humans with badges are searching for the evil humans who would steal from a cat rescue group. As the human in charge of Tenth Life said, it is very sad that someone would target a charitable organization that is working very hard to help cats who have difficult lives.

The cats at Tenth Life were understandably upset and scared by the evil humans who broke in. But this cat rescue group is too tough to be scared off by them. They are cleaning up and working hard to make sure that the facility is more secure so that thieves cannot break in again.

I told the human that I hope that the thieves are caught and then put in a cage where big cats are allowed to swat and bite them as many times as they want to. The human told me this is not allowed, but that there are cages for evil humans. I hope they end up there.
